The Title U.S. Amateur Champion Lasts Forever

In addition to advancing to a pro event, each Champion will receive a magnificent marble and bronze trophy and event jacket.

Both Champions receive a one year free APA membership and are also invited to return to the Championship Rounds the following year to defend their titles.

Additionally, all lady contestants advancing to the Championship Rounds will receive complimentary private lodging on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7. Gentleman contestants advancing to the Championship Rounds will receive complimentary private lodging on Friday, November 6, Saturday, November 7 and Sunday November 8.

For the first time in its history, the U.S. Amateur Championship has come to the state of Florida and the beautiful city of Tampa, Fla. 

Located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Tampa (also referred to as Tampa Bay), is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning.  Earlier this year, Raymond James Stadium, home of the Bucs and the Outback Bowl, hosted of the 2009 SuperBowl. 

In addition to the spectacular beaches in nearby Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Tampa also offers the world famous Busch Garden’s theme park and Ybor City historic district.
