Host Location - Ultimate Billiards, Berlin, CT

New Venue for U.S. Amateur Championship – Ultimate Billiards

Ultimate Billiards in Berlin, Conn., is serving as the host of the 10th Annual U.S. Amateur Championship. This year’s event marks the first time the U.S. Amateur Championship has been held in Connecticut. With 27 tables (21 9-ft. and 7 7-ft.), a pro shop and cue repair, Ultimate Billiards offers everything a first-class pool hall should. But to call it just a pool hall doesn’t quite do it justice.

Prior to it’s opening in June of 2002, Ultimate Billiards co-owner Peter Genovese traveled all over the Northeast visiting some of the country’s finest billiard halls. “I wanted it have a more contemporary feel, similar to a lot of the nicer club’s in New York City,” said Genovese.

One need only look at Ultimate Billiard extensive menu, which includes entrees like seared tuna, porterhouse steak and lobster ravioli, to see that it’s not your average pool hall. The location also boasts 12-satelite fed televisions, and a large screen projection t.v., so poolplayers and non-poolplayers alike can catch their favorite game.
