Two Players Reunite

For two participants, Eric Perry and Pete Genovese, this championship meant getting reacquainted with some familiar faces. “Pete and I met at last years’ tournament, it is great to see him again this year,” said Perry. Perry has been an APA member for six years and like Genovese, who has been a member for 11 years, this is his second time participating in the U.S. Amateur.

“I have played in APA tournaments before, going to the Team Championships, and each year, they seem to get better and better,” added Perry. Perry is from Ambler, Pa. and Genovese is from Conn. Perry placed 47th and Genovese placed 9th in last year’s tournament.
