Paul Garcia is the family man of poolplayers here at the 1999 U.S. Championship. Joined by his wife Barb, mother Linda, stepfather Rich and cousin Louie, he's got all the support any shooter could want. His son, young Julian serves as Dad's manager, and other son Jacob is keeping fingers crossed at home. When an event like this means so much to the shooter, the rest of the family just can't help pulling as hard as they can.

"This really would be a great achievement in my life to win this championship," Paul said. "I've always wanted to do it, not only for myself but for the people who support me." Those people were proud ever of Garcia's Top 10 finish.

One of his biggest supporters is his twin sister Paula, who wanted to make the trip. In addition to the family, the whole town of Ovid, Mich. should be proud, and Paul wanted to extend a special thank-you to League Operators John and Sandie Moler and all the small businesses back in Ovid who made this experience possible.
